Talk to a technician, not a call center
The phone is answered by someone who works on these appliances. Have the model number ready and the conversation gets a lot shorter.

Before you call, grab three things
- The model number. On built-in refrigeration the data plate is behind the door or inside the cabinet — on Designer, Integrated drawer and 700 Series units, look to the left of the upper drawer.
- The serial number. It tells us how old the unit is, and on control boards the correct part is serial-dependent.
- Any code on the display. Write it down and leave it on screen. Do not clear it — the logged code is diagnostic history, and clearing it can hide a sealed-system fault.

Something in the kitchen has stopped working
Tell us the model number off the data plate and what it is doing. We will tell you what it is likely to be, what it usually costs, and when we can get there.
